Cassie’s Collection in Psychonauts 2 is another long, involved level with a ton of collectibles. The stage loops back on itself a number of times, allowing you to snag some things that you missed as you uncover its many secrets. Cassie’s Collection is divided into multiple sections–you’ll not only work your way through the actual library, but into various books and memories that will take you to other locations as well. You’ll have to scour all the locations to find all the many collectibles in the level, and many are in hidden spots.

Nugget of Wisdom: You’ll first start in Cassie’s library, which has some side sections you’ll need to make your way through. In this first room, however, you’ll find some alcoves set into the walls that you can’t quite climb up to. Climb up onto the counter of the library and onto the books to reach the globe hanging above you, and you can then use the height to leap across and float down to each of the alcoves. One contains your first Nugget of Wisdom.

Suitcase Emotional Baggage: This is also in the very first room you’ll enter. Look for the Suitcase on top of a stack of books in the corner; you’ll be back here a few times, so you can grab it after you’ve advanced to find the Suitcase Tag.

Suitcase Tag: Climb up through the library until you reach a room with a bottomless pit beneath it and flying books that make a path through it. Look for Mental Connection grapple points above you. As you use them to advance, you’ll be able to use them to make your way to a ledge attached to one of the columns in the room’s corner, where the Suitcase Tag sits.

Purse Tag: As you explore the library, you’ll enter several different rooms, each with a different theme. In the first room where you fight a battle after gaining the Projection ability, climb a stack of books to reach a high alcove among the suitcases. The Purse Tag is inside.

Purse Emotional Baggage: In this same room, look for a raised spot with the illustration of a knight fighting a dragon. The Purse is on the railing beside it.

Half-a-Mind: Once you have the Projection ability, head to the Children’s Literature corner. Before you jump into the book, look for a locked door and use your Projection to open it to reveal the Half-a-Mind.

Memory Vault: After the room with the math equations, you’ll enter another two-dimensional book level. Once you’re through that, when you come back into the 3D world, check behind the book to find the Memory Vault.

Nugget of Wisdom: Also after clearing the second book, check the room for Mental Connection points. You’ll be able to grapple your way up into the air to reach an alcove set in the wall that hides the Nugget of Wisdom.

Half-a-Mind: This Half-a-Mind is right on the ground in the area known as Librarian Lane–you can’t miss it.

Duffel Bag Emotional Baggage: You’ll eventually jump into a giant world constructed out of books, as you search for evidence against Fannie Flats. Before heading toward the buildings, spin around from your entry point and take the winding street downward toward the docks to find the Duffel Bag.

Hat Box Emotional Baggage: This one is tough to miss. Look for it right in the center of the water in the middle of town, where paper boats sail around it in a circle.

Duffel Bag Tag: There are three main areas in this section of the level where you’re headed to look for evidence. You’ll find the Duffel Bag Tag in the newsprint location, straight across the water from where you start. The area is marked with a big fight, and after you’ve cleared the enemies, you can use your Projection power to open a locked door and reveal the tag.

Memory Vault: Once you reach the top of the newsprint area, go through the 2D book and grab the evidence. Before you leave, head off to one side and you’ll find a small gate you can slip through to find a doorway beyond. That doorway is a portal that will actually take you out to another island in the middle of the dockyard. On it, you’ll find the second Memory Vault.

Steamer Trunk Tag: On the left side of the circling boats, you can jump up onto some tightropes that’ll help you navigate across the archways and cross the water to where you can climb up to the Marketplace. Before climbing all the way up, you’ll hit the flat platform of an open book. Look to the left along the stack of books for a pathway you can take to reach the tag.

Nugget of Wisdom: At the top of the Marketplace, after you’ve found the evidence, you’ll have the chance to head back down using a grinding rail. Before you do that, look over the front edge of the area to a spot you can drop down to grab the Nugget of Wisdom.

Hat Box Tag Emotional Baggage: You’ll find the Hat Box Tag in the Cannery area, right behind the big ink waterfall to the right of the door near the water’s edge.

Nugget of Wisdom: Also in the Cannery, you can’t miss this one. Complete your two-dimensional adventure into a book and when you come out, the Nugget will be waiting ahead of you.

Steamer Trunk: Back in the main room of the library, climb up onto the globe hanging above the librarian’s desk. Use your Projection power to make your archetype pull a switch down on the ground–you might have noticed it before, and if you pulled it, it might not seem like it did anything. The switch will make the globe move, allowing you to reach a few things you couldn’t before, including some figments and the Steamer Trunk. When the globe is at its peak, jump across to the Trunk on the left using your Levitation Ball.

She adds some wonderful levity to the crew dynamic, and actor Tina Ivlev does an incredible job voicing and portraying Merrin as this adorable, socially awkward person who hides that side of her with a dry sarcasm.

Bally’s Receives Final Approvals for Its Chicago Casino Resort

Bally’s Corporation, one of the leaders of the US casino industry, informed that the Chicago Department of Planning and Urban Development approved the company’s plans for construction of the entertainment complex in the City. The $1.7 billion development will commence in 2024 and is expected to provide 3,000 jobs to the community.

Also, the casino giant’s vertical, Bally’s Chicago, released an update of the casino development in the River North area. The company has recently announced that the property will feature a 500-room hotel, a 3,000-seat event center, 4,000 gaming positions, VIP areas, and an exhibition hall, as well as an outdoor park for the community.

Bally’s Senior Vice President of Design and Development, Joyen Vakil, reportedly said:  “Inspired by the city’s interplay—grit and grandeur, structure and the organic, historically-charged and cutting-edge—the design of Bally’s Chicago creates a sense of wonder and adventure accessible to everyone. The plan is uniquely focused on bringing in nature and wellness through the addition of numerous public plazas and parks.”

Chicago-Based Contractors:

Bally’s has also specified the contractors to conduct the development of the venue, which shall reflect the urban spirit and the original design. At the same time, a wide range of amenities will include outdoor dining facilities and public art areas to merge luxury and art into a unique urban experience to be brought by mostly Chicago-based and minority-owned contractors under the ownership of Bally’s Corporation and minority-ownership of the Community Investment Programs.

The companies and businesses hired for the development include SCB, V3 companies, and Gensler which are responsible for the Master plan, Gensler is responsible for design and architecture, SOSH Architects will take care of the casino interior design, together with associated local architects, and more. Civil engineering and site infrastructure have been entrusted to V3 Companies, while Magnusson Klemencic Associates and Milhouse Engineering will perform structural engineering. General contractor is the Chicago Community Builders Collective.

Vakil said: “We are confident that this team will bring to life this one-of-a-kind urban space,” said Vakil. “The unique and exciting design celebrates Chicago’s motto, urbs in horto – city in a garden – and creates a dynamic public realm on site.” The design had undergone some changes which were called ”a better product” by Department of Planning Commissioner Maurice Cox, Chicago Sun Times reported.

The development also anticipates large green areas which will be combined with urban features, but the property will keep the recognizable  hotel tower form, as well as a luminous facade. Its glitter on the surface of the Chicago river in a summer night may represent a million-dollar view and the promising invitation to visit the casino and try to get the million-dollar view on the gaming screens soon to be available in the resort.

MGM Loses Up to $8.4 Million in Daily Revenues to Recent Cyberattack

Following the cyberattack recently experienced by MGM Resorts International just ahead of a large event to be held on September 19, 2023, a gaming industry analyst assessed the expected company’s insurance claims estimating that the intrusion in the company’s online transactions could cost the top-tier gaming and entertainment operator up to $8.4 million in daily revenue and around $1 million in cash flow for each day of the attack.

10-20 % Daily Loss

As Las VegasReview-Journal reports, David Katz, an equity analyst with New York-based Jefferies Group, has recently referred to the cyberattacks sustained by Caesars and MGM to indicate that the latter may lose around 10 to 20 percent of revenues and cash flow  “for the days that the current conditions exist.”  As MGM generates around $42 million in revenue and $8 million in cash flow a day, according to the source, such a daily loss may range from $4.2 million to $8.4 million in revenues or $1 million in cash flow across the company.

Payment Transactions Affected

As reported, MGM officials said on September 17 that there were no changes in the company’s computer system, but the source reports on the issues experienced by some MGM employees who didn’t get paid as scheduled and customers facing issues with the company’s website. Review-Journal also reported that the operator’s dining facility at Park MGM had difficulties recently to split checks and payment methods while the slot machine winnings had to be paid manually.

Casting Shade on Upcoming Events

The news comes just ahead of the Groceryshop 2023, a three-day supermarket-brands convention, scheduled to begin on September 19. As reported by Review-Journal, the event will host brands like Kroger, Walmart, Amazon, Coca Cola, and Pepsico with projected attendance of around 5,000, but reportedly none of the Groceryshop 2023 representatives commented on the possibility of occurrence of any cyber issues.

Insurance Claims

As for such issues experienced by MGM, gaming analyst Katz reportedly said that the company would claim damages against insurance. However, the extent of insurance coverage seems unclear at this point, according to the source.

Katz reportedly stated: “The announcement by CZR (Caesars Entertainment, which reported a similar cyberattack in an SEC filing Thursday) and indications from MGM confirming the cyberattacks should be taken as one-time, largely insurable events that should not have long-lasting impacts on the businesses, assuming that the event is short-lived.”  

He added: “Our sense is that MGM’s impact could potentially be material but moderate near term, while CZR should see no meaningful impact and the question of whether any business is displaced among operators near term is fair.”

Ransom Money Payment Considerations

The analyst reportedly said that Caesars is believed to have paid around $15 million to the blackmailer to regain computer system control in August. It is reportedly unclear whether MGM will do the same.

As reported by Review-Journal, Katz also stated: “Our impression is the Street’s presumption that CZR elected to pay a ransom while MGM did not may not be correct, according to our discussions with both management teams. Nonetheless, given what we expect should be predominantly insurable events for all concerned should mitigate the impact to MGM if it turns out to be significant.”
